Happily Married is not an Oxymoron!
Yes, it’s true. The words “happily” and “married” can indeed coexist in the same sentence. And for those who are happily married, they coexist in the same household. Contrary to the belief of some, these two terms are by no means contradictory. But they require a recipe that is often dismissed as old fashioned and impossible. The ingredients of compromise, sacrifice, humility and vulnerability are often
left out of the pot these days. But we believe they not only lead to being happily married but are key to avoiding the bitter taste of a bad marriage. Following are a list of suggestions on how to maintain a long lasting love.
Dr. Phil –
“Forget whether you’re right or wrong. The question is: Is what you’re doing working or not working?”
Amazing Facts – “making up is a very pleasant experience with unusual powers to draw marriage partners closer together. God suggests it. It works!”
Steve and Marjorie Harvey – “Get rid of the word ‘step’ when blending a family.”
Are you happily married? Tell us something you’re doing that works. We’d love to hear from you.
